This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines acceptable and unacceptable uses of the services provided by WebIQ Web Services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. General Prohibitions
You may not use our services to engage in any activity that is illegal, harmful, or interferes with the use of our network or systems. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Transmitting, storing, or displaying any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, or obscene.
- Engaging in any activity that violates the intellectual property rights of others, including copyright, trademark, or patent infringement.
- Distributing viruses, malware, trojan horses, worms, or any other malicious code.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or account.
2. Spam and Unsolicited Email
We strictly prohibit the use of our services for sending unsolicited commercial email (spam). You may not use our network to send spam or host sites that are promoted by spam sent from other networks. Any account found to be sending spam may be immediately suspended or terminated.
3. Network and Resource Abuse
You may not engage in activities that place an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure or interfere with other users' ability to use the services. This includes:
- Running unauthorized background processes or resource-intensive applications on shared hosting plans.
- Engaging in Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
- Scanning or probing networks or systems for vulnerabilities without explicit authorization.
4. Content Restrictions
You are solely responsible for the content hosted on your account. We do not actively monitor content but reserve the right to remove any material that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates this AUP or is otherwise objectionable. Prohibited content includes child exploitation material, terrorist propaganda, and phishing sites.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take appropriate action, including issuing warnings, suspending or terminating accounts, or reporting the activity to law enforcement authorities.
6. Modifications
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes. Your continued use of the services constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP.
